Job Description:

Regulatory Affairs Specialist

Our company is looking for a motivated and experienced Regulatory Affairs Specialist to join our team! As a Regulatory Affairs Specialist, you will be responsible for the day-to-day monitoring of the company’s regulatory activities to ensure compliance with all regulations. You will be a key member of our regulatory affairs team, which is responsible for the company’s regulatory processes and reporting of the regulatory activities.

This position reports directly to the Vice President of Regulatory Affairs and will contribute to our success by engaging in the following:

  • Determine hazard classifications of finished products.
  • Determine DOT/IATA/IMDG shipping classifications.
  • Create & manage Safety Data Sheets.
  • Oversee and update company procedures and documents.
  • Assist in company audits and maintaining our ISO: 9001 cert.
  • Track chemical inventories.
  • Complete chemical safety assessment forms.
  • Preform risk assessments, JSAs & JHA
  • Provide support for the safety committee.
  • Fulfill product regulatory compliance survey requests from customers.
  • Track and report necessary information for regulatory compliance to the VP of Regulatory Affairs.
  • Provide training to employees regarding HSE matters.

Experience and Skills:

In order to be considered for the position, we are looking for the following experience and education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, focus on chemistry or related field of study, preferred
  • Five (5) to ten (10) years of experience in regulatory affairs for a manufacturing facility
  • Understanding of chemical reactions
  • Ability to draft Safety Data Sheets with use of software
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance issues
  • Ability to read and understand regulatory guidelines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to form and maintain professional relationships with people from various backgrounds and from all levels within and outside the organization
  • Ability to make contributions as an individual and as part of a team
