Job Description:

We are seeking a talented Sales Manager with a track record of success selling to small OEMs, contractors, and other commercial customers. The ideal candidate is driven to meet sales goals by serving customers. We have a complete array of products—including profiles and colors—to meet any use of synthetic lumber.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and serve established customers by routine contact—including in-person visits, phone, email, and other channels—to ensure their satisfaction, and to grow each account
  • Proactively call existing, former, and potential customers to determine product needs, usage volume, target pricing, application requirements, and competitive positioning
  • Work closely with the sales and marketing team by providing leads, follow ups and any pertinent information available to close sales
  • Provide customers with reliable information regarding product pricing and quotations, performance specifications, suitability for an application, availability/lead time and other details regarding ordering and fulfillment processes
  • Use sales experience and product knowledge to up-sell the customer appropriately
  • Identify target customers: develop and manage the lead list to ensure a constant stream of new business. Work with targets to create an appropriate offering: product, packaging, services, price; and close new business, thereby growing overall revenues.
  • Manage and develop relationships with distributors and/or rep groups to serve LTL customers, ensuring full geographic coverage across the US
  • Guide and direct NPD efforts on products that will yield best return in terms of sales & margin
  • Work closely with the marketing team to get the support needed to close sales and sustain year on year growth
  • Be an outstanding and competent spokesperson for the business - providing solutions to customer needs
  • Deliver on an aggressive sales revenue budget - you will drive the growth of market share in these segments

  • Strong written and oral communication skills (with both internal and external customers)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. You must effectively interact in a team environment with senior leadership and across functions with colleagues, and with customers
  • Ability to relate to/understand situations from various customers’ perspectives and deliver profitable solutions
  • Expert in the process of sales - securing new accounts and managing them for long term growth
  • Understand the fundamentals of marketing and work with the marketing team to ensure deliverables that will translate to exceptional sales results
  • Passionate about engaging customers and be an expert in our product line
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Interested in company results
  • MS Office Suite proficient and keyboarding skills
  • Able and willing to travel on a regular basis (willing to spend 60 percent of their year traveling & must have a passport)
