Title: Copywriter
Location: New York City (Hybrid, in office 3 days/week)
Our client, Fetch by The Dodo, is a high-growth, Warburg-Pincus
portfolio company and the only pet insurance recommended by the #1
animal brand in the world, The Dodo. They are a passionate group of
200+ employees dedicated to helping pets live their best lives and
provide the most comprehensive pet insurance on the market. Their
groundbreaking, patent-pending Fetch Forward™ AI technology provides
pet parents with tailored insights and recommendations so they can
stay steps ahead of their pet’s health. They have partnerships with
Walmart, AARP, and some of the largest no-kill shelters in the US and Canada.
We are assisting Fetch in their search for a
Copywriter to help them evolve the next great pet
brand. Working closely with teams from across the company, you’ll
write for a broad array of products and touchpoints, from Facebook ads
to email marketing and beyond. You’ll be working alongside a team of
copywriters, so the ability to collaborate and exchange ideas is a
must. Reporting directly to the Creative Director of Voice and Copy,
you’ll play a key role as a content and creative strategist working
directly with all the key leaders at Fetch, including the C-Suite.
You’ll participate in ideation and high-quality execution of brand
campaigns, product and program rollouts, evolving the user experience
and flows, and much more.
Responsibilities:
- Working in a hands-on writer role, you’ll collaborate with the
copy team in creation and quality execution of best-in-class
marketing communications while considering the consumer mindset in
all creative components.
- Evolve the Fetch by The Dodo brand standards and copy guidelines
and execute them successfully in all work products.
- Partner with designers and writers to develop fresh concepts and
storytelling ideas that accomplish project brief objectives,
maximize the impact of each marketing message, and ensure accuracy
in all finished products.
- Provide best-in-class copy for small- and large-scale projects
from creative conception to completion. This includes brainstorming
with the creative team on complex projects/campaigns, leading
comprehensive presentations on your work that reflect and amplify an
understanding of the briefer’s brand strategy and business
objectives, and ensuring quality execution of your work.
- Receive feedback and direction and present proposed copy solutions
while meeting deadlines on a variety of projects simultaneously.
Ensure work is reviewed/approved by leadership before presentation
and subsequently vetted by Compliance and Marketing partners.
- Present work to peers, partners and management in a clear,
professional manner. Where appropriate, include research and
competitive analysis that will support chosen strategies.
