Homestead Smart Health Plans seeks a visionary Marketing and
Communications professional who serves in a key leadership role for
our small but growing national company.
The Director of Marketing and Communications is responsible for
developing and implementing the long-term marketing and
communication vision for Homestead’s brand, which promotes our
unique position in the health benefits marketplace.
This position will oversee Homestead’s marketing strategies, direct
marketing campaigns, oversee a small internal team and marketing
partners, and also manage our internal and external communications.
The position will report to our President and is based in our
Philadelphia, PA, office.
Specific responsibilities include:
* Direct, implement, monitor, and evaluate marketing and
communications strategies and programs
* Design, develop, and distribute consistent themes, messaging and
branding throughout all communication touchpoints
* Build cross-functional relationships with organizational
stakeholders to understand products, customers, and industry
* Explore and adopt new channels, methods, and platforms
* Oversee planning for conferences and tradeshows
* Develop and monitor budget and expenses
* Direct the efforts of small internal marketing team and external
partners
* Direct and implement communication and education initiatives with
clients and members
* Coordinate with Human Resources on internal communication efforts
and initiatives
* Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing and communications
initiatives through reporting and analytics
* Perform additional duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* Able to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment
* Superb interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office software, (e.g., Word,
Excel, Adobe as well as creative software)
* Excellent leadership skills
* Great problem-solving skills
* Keen attention to detail
* Strong understanding of current marketing and advertising
techniques, including social media campaigns
* Able to implement creative marketing campaigns
* Strong research and analytical skills
