Job Description:

Esstech, Inc. (a subsidiary of Justi Group Inc.) is seeking a results oriented Chemical Engineer to join our growing team. Located conveniently off of I-95 in Essington, PA, Esstech, Inc. develops and manufactures advanced energy curable materials for various industries demanding distinctive technology. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Operations and will contribute to our success by engaging in the following:

  • Apply engineering expertise, analyze data and identify process, equipment & operational improvements.
  • Drive improvements, process optimizations, and improved process control to enhance product quality and cost improvements.
  • Design, propose, implement, review, and correct processes and equipment to ensure company goals are achieved.
  • Serve as the manufacturing lead for the introduction of new manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Conceive, design, and install small and medium size capital projects.
  • Assist with establishing budgets and timelines for capital projects.
  • Provide chemical technicians with understanding of the process and safety related procedures, including conducting classroom training.
  • Establish systems to gather data and monitor results to develop root causes analysis.
  • Apply sound root cause analysis techniques and creative alternatives to technical related problems.
  • Identify, design, and install process control systems to improve quality and safety of operations.
  • Be knowledgeable of and comply with all safety and environmental regulations associated with the related processes and any required modifications.
  • Maintain effective communications and working relationships with operators.
  • Using scientific, mathematical, and engineering principles to solve problems and improve processes.
  • Review and approve new process and equipment changes.
  • Establish safety and waste management procedures.

Experience and Skills:

In order to be considered for the position, we are looking for the following experience and education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or a higher degree
  • Five (5) years or more of production/process engineering and design experience in a chemical manufacturing plant. Lesser experienced candidates will be considered on a case-by-case basis
  • Proven ability to multi-task and complete projects with competing deadlines
  • Ability to form and maintain professional relationships with people from various backgrounds and all levels within the organization
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Demonstrated history of improving processes and efficiencies
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of manufacturing/engineering best practices
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite products and software applications essential to technical performance

Benefits

Salary Range:  $110,000 to $135,000
