Senior Compliance Analyst

Fetch Pet Insurance is expanding and looking for a Senior Compliance Analyst to join our team! This position is hybrid, working 2 days a week in office in the financial district of NYC and 3 days a week remotely.

Fetch is seeking a research oriented, solution driven individual to join our fast-paced Insurance Team and own all things related to compliance.

The Senior Compliance Analyst is responsible for contributing as a key member of the Insurance team accountable for compliance related concerns, processes, and procedures.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Investigate and address compliance related concerns through to resolution, including all necessary stakeholders
  • Document cross-department solutions related to compliance for learnings and efficiency
  • Investigate and respond to customer and/or regulatory agency complaints. Develop processes and procedures to address any issues identified.
  • Review all existing and new marketing materials to ensure compliance with applicable state laws and regulations.
  • Conduct legal/regulatory research related to product, claims, and distribution, working closely with underwriting and actuarial to develop new features and products based on market demands and requirements
  • Manage regulatory inquires and quarterly/annual requirements
  • Formalize and manage internal and external audit processes
  • Assess product, compliance, or operational risks and develop risk management strategies.
  • Assist in reviewing new and revised insurance products, policies and other required forms to ensure compliance with state regulatory and statutory requirements and in making filings
  • Monitor, report and present on the status of projects

Experience and Skills:

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 3 years experience in corporate compliance, legal, risk management, or audit
  • Regulatory and/or insurance compliance experience
  • Strong research and development skills
  • Organizational skills to effectively and efficiently work with large volumes of documents and data
  • Ability to analyze complex issues, evaluate alternatives and recommend creative solutions
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal, presentation and written communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to work on and complete multiple projects simultaneously, while working independently towards a common goal
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills, someone who looks for the YES!
  • Ability to apply initiative and judgment to define and perform tasks, sometimes complex, and sees the bigger picture
  • Excellent team player; proven ability to apply innovative ideas and critical thinking
  • Able to anticipate needs, innovate and flourish in a high volume, fast paced environment
  • Self-driven with a desire to independently expand knowledge on relevant legal, compliance and business topics
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently
