Position Summary:
This position will support the VP of HR & Safety for the
administration of HR functions for the company. Reports to the VP of
HR & Safety. Recruitment and retention strategy development, new
employee onboarding, payroll processing, tracking of employment
related documentation, and benefits administration are examples of
HR tasks to be performed.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Create and implement employee relations strategies to help
increase employee job satisfaction;
- Recruitment and onboarding of management level employees
- Support and Drive recruitment strategy for the hourly work force
- Assist with benefits selection, administration, costing,
implementation, and policy interpretation;
- Knowledge of HRIS platforms preferred; familiarity with
Alchemy training software preferred;
- Payroll processing - primary person responsible for submitting
payroll for hourly and salary level employees in 200+ employee
size company;
- Attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks in
fast-paced environment, results driven;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Responsible for all human resource activities to include
recruitment, employment, compensation, benefits and training;
- Serve as a liaison between employees and benefit carriers;
- Coordinates distribution/communication of projects &
programs including but not limited to Employee Policy handbook,
401(k), open enrollment, and performance assessment and employee recognition;
- Provide support to Plant HRSM/PM/ VP’s related to all HR and
employee relations matters;
- Develop, implement and administer company policies, procedures,
and documentation;
- Conduct exit interviews with employees; communicate findings to management;
- Represents organization with employment-related hearings and investigations;
- Conducts investigations into company-policy violations;
- Utilize online resources for company recruiting - Indeed,
LinkedIn, etc.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
