Job Description:

Are you an HR Professional looking to advance your career with a growing company. Are you comfortable working in a manufacturing environment?

Position Summary:

This position will support the VP of HR & Safety for the administration of HR functions for the company. Reports to the VP of HR & Safety. Recruitment and retention strategy development, new employee onboarding, payroll processing, tracking of employment related documentation, and benefits administration are examples of HR tasks to be performed.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement employee relations strategies to help increase employee job satisfaction;
  • Recruitment and onboarding of management level employees
  • Support and Drive recruitment strategy for the hourly work force
  • Assist with benefits selection, administration, costing, implementation, and policy interpretation;
  • Knowledge of HRIS platforms preferred; familiarity with Alchemy training software preferred;
  • Payroll processing - primary person responsible for submitting payroll for hourly and salary level employees in 200+ employee size company;
  • Attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks in fast-paced environment, results driven;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Responsible for all human resource activities to include recruitment, employment, compensation, benefits and training;
  • Serve as a liaison between employees and benefit carriers;
  • Coordinates distribution/communication of projects & programs including but not limited to Employee Policy handbook, 401(k), open enrollment, and performance assessment and employee recognition;
  • Provide support to Plant HRSM/PM/ VP’s related to all HR and employee relations matters;
  • Develop, implement and administer company policies, procedures, and documentation;
  • Conduct exit interviews with employees; communicate findings to management;
  • Represents organization with employment-related hearings and investigations;
  • Conducts investigations into company-policy violations;
  • Utilize online resources for company recruiting - Indeed, LinkedIn, etc.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

Experience and Skills:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) and five years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Fluent in HR laws and regulations, (e.g. FSLA, FMLA, state labor regulations)
  • Basic competence in duties and tasks of supervised employees.
  • HRIS System Deployment
  • Demonstrated success in recruiting and staffing.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Ability to work independently while working as a member of various teams and committees.
  • Proficiency in various computer programs including Microsoft Office, as well as social media.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence, including HR analytics.
  • Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
  • Creative, flexible, and innovative team player.
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards of performance.

  • Human Resource Generalist: 5 years (Required)
  • HRIS System Deployment: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Benefits: 2 years (Preferred)
