Job Description:

Our client, a manufacturer based in Souderton, PA is currently seeking a recruiter to join their growing HR team. The ideal candidate will have proven Full Life Cycle recruiting experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment. This is a great opportunity for a skilled recruiter who has an entrepreneurial spirit and wants the ability to create and implement recruiting strategies!

This is a full time, permanent position with a hybrid schedule. The office location is Souderton, PA and the work schedule is 3 days remote and 2 days in-office. Some local travel to area job fairs may be necessary.

Summary:

The Recruiter will research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization. Responsible for developing relationships with area institutions, external employees, and managers to promote workforce development opportunities.

Responsibilities:

Recruiting:

  • Develops, facilitates, manages, and implements all phases of the recruitment process in coordination with Human Resource Director.
  • Collaborates with department managers to identify, continually update and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions for new and replacement positions, hiring needs and hiring criteria as well as Predictive Index (PI) profile.
  • Manage recruiting budget, open position reporting, and weekly recruiting reports for upper management
  • Identifies and implements efficient, innovative, and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
  • Oversee job posting and advertisement processes.
  • Utilize, post, and maintain job boards such as Indeed, LinkedIn, PA Career Link, etc., company external and internal website as well as all applicable company approved sites.
  • Proactively source potential employees and execute LinkedIn searches.
  • Build a healthy pipeline of qualified candidates through inbound and outbound sourcing techniques.
  • Pre-screens applications and selects qualified candidates.
  • Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials such as the PI Assessment.
  • Assists with the interview process, conduct all prescreening interviews, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, drug screens/background testing and other pertinent details.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
  • Represent and participates in all external and internal recruiting events to build and foster strong relationships within the community and at schools and appropriate organizations.
  • Promote the company brand to ensure company of choice with qualified applicants.
  • Develop, maintain, and grow relationships with area schools.
  • Stay current with recruitment trends, best practices and industry movements and effectively communicate those to HR Director and management.
  • Work and meet with outside recruiters for certain key positions including negotiating and controlling employment-related fees.
  • Provide feedback to outside recruiters on applications received by them and attend meetings.
  • Update all information, feedback, application status and notes for applicants on ATS daily as well as upload resumes received outside ATS.
  • Effectively communicate to applicants of application status and send offer/rejections letters.
  • Partner with Marketing team to continually develop the company's talent brand in key industries, through advertising programs (internal and external), to ensure high visibility to potential candidates as well as coordinating any materials for any events or new hires.

Onboarding/New Hire Orientation :

  • Coordinate with HR Staff to create logins for new hires on internal systems
  • Responsible for transitioning applicant to new hire status in the ATS and HRIS
  • Send, collect, verify, and upload all new hire information (Including I-9 verification on E-Verify).
  • Send New Hire notification to all appropriate management and staff.
  • Manage the new hire checklist and confirm completion.
  • Conduct orientation classes, conduct campus tour and coordinate safety training.
  • Perform check in with all new hires and provide feedback to Human Resource Director and management.

Career Development :

  • Administratively support current apprenticeship program participation with outside agency.
  • Actively updating and reviewing employee information on specialized training, certifications, and other learned job skills for potential internal career advancement opportunities.
  • Work with managers using career development ladders and career paths to engage and promote career growth opportunities among our employees.

Experience and Skills:

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Marketing, Communications or related field, or equivalent work experience, required.
  • At least 3-5 years managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process. Recruiting experience in the manufacturing industry required.
  • Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
  • Proficient with Paycor or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.
  • Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility to travel as required to local job fairs or other company campuses
