Mechanical Assemblers

Job Description:

DFT Inc., a check valve manufacturer located in Exton, PA is seeking mechanical assemblers for its small valve product line.

The position requires the assembler to prepare and assemble machined parts (bodies, seats, discs, stems and springs) into completed valve assemblies, according to prescribed assembly drawings and instructions.

Duties include:

• Inspecting parts for conformity to production and quality standards.
• Lapping, grinding or polishing seats and discs to eliminate scratches and refine surface finishes to optimize valve sealing capability.
• Testing valves with either air or water according to testing procedures.
• Performing test stand maintenance as required.
• Maintaining a safe and clean work area.

Experience and Skills:

• Good mechanical aptitude is important.
• Both hand and air operated tools as well as lifting aids are used in the assembly process.
• Lift truck operation is through an internal training and certification process.
