Job Description:

DFT Inc., a check valve manufacturer located in Exton, PA is seeking a quality control technician who will be responsible for a broad range of activities coordinating the quality assurance and quality control functions at its manufacturing facility. This includes incoming inspection, in-process inspection and final inspection as well as coordinating vendor, customer and DFT quality requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

* Performs or establishes controls to assure proper performance of incoming inspection of all raw materials and vendor manufactured parts in accordance with the inspection plan.
* Performs or establishes controls to assure proper performance of in-process inspection of materials in accordance with the inspection plan.
* Performs or establishes controls to assure proper performance of final inspection of the product in accordance with the inspection plan.
* Establishes controls to assure proper product identification and traceability of product in accordance with DFT procedures.
* Properly maintains inspection and measuring and test equipment normally used at DFT. Maintenance includes the proper calibration and documentation of all test and measuring equipment.
* Controls all non-conforming parts and products through the DFT Non-Conforming product process. Initiates corrective action procedures as necessary for both internal and vendor created quality non-conformances.
* Maintains the Non-Conforming Report (NCR) log for all internal and vendor created quality non-conformances.
* Maintains quality records and carries out other functions required by the quality system.
* Assists manufacturing efforts when required.
* Perform Faro arm inspections as needed - training provided
* Must be able to fulfill essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.

Experience and Skills:

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
* High School degree or GED.
* Must have experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Be familiar with or understand ASME B16 code and/or ASME boiler and pressure vessel code.
* Be familiar with internal audits process.

REQUIRED SKILLS
* Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
* A strong basic mathematics ability is required. Must be capable of performing basic high school level mathematics.
* Must demonstrate an ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documents.

REQUIRED COMPUTER SKILLS
* Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel software. Must be able to perform word processing, spreadsheet and database operations on a personal computer after suitable training.
* Proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft Windows operating systems required.
