The Digital Content & Research Coordinator will be
responsible for the newspaper’s record collection efforts as well as
its online presence via the main website and its varied social media channels.
Essential Job Functions:
* Digital Content Coordinator
o Upload new DBT content as needed.
o Develop new storytelling assets for the web outlet, including
maps, graphs, charts, infographics, databases, etc.
o Manage the posting of content on the newspaper’s social media
channels, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram, and
any future platforms that company seeks to utilize.
o Maintain Delaware Business Times’ daily newsletter e-blast to
ensure timely and accurate dissemination.
o Respond to user questions and concerns submitted through
social media in a timely fashion.
o Monitor and report on site/platform performance and traffic.
o Conduct SEO/keyword research and improve SEO rankings by
o Recommend targeting/content opportunities from Google
o Help promote/solicit newsletter signups and subscriptions at
o Develop a user guide for SEO optimization of website content
and ensure it is used.
o Upload special content (e.g., Innovation Delaware, Forty over
40. Fastest 50); sponsored content (BizInsights, Roundtables); and
Marketing-centric e-blasts publication as needed
o Format content to improve user experience across platforms
(e.g., adding additional art, video, backlinks, and restoring
content excluded from the paper due to space constraints).
* Research Coordinator
o Create or update biweekly lists for the print issue and work
with industry associations to ensure the lists are comprehensive and accurate.
o Lead the annual Book of Lists publication, including
coordinating its content, cover, and any use of freelance help with
the input from the DBT editor.
o Collect and format Business Leads, Event Calendar, and People
on the Move features, while seeking new data sources.
