Purchasing Agent ( Hughes Enterprises )
Hughes Enterprises, a privately owned industry leading
distributor of packaging products and systems, based in Levittown,
Pennsylvania is currently seeking a Purchasing Agent for their
Procurement team. The company, founded in 1950 is a rapidly growing
dominant distribution entity serving PA, NJ, and DE.
The primary role of the Purchasing Agent position will be to
provide support to the Senior Purchasing Agent and Procurement
Manager in all phases of purchasing activities as required. This
includes the selection and purchase of goods and materials needed
for the Company; expediting the ordering and delivery process
using the ERP system; conducting pricing analysis of product;
facilitating the RFQ process and assisting with various purchasing
related tasks as requested.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Review and run Daily P/O Suggest Report for designated Buy
lines. Perform product cost analysis. Creation and transmission of
Receive Vendor Purchase Order Confirmations. Update purchase
order pricing and due dates in the ERP system. Obtain purchase
order status information with vendors.
Facilitate the Open Purchase Order Report to identify and
follow up on overdue deliveries. Update the ERP system with
product pricing, min-max and order quantities. Adjust inventory
levels and product status as warranted.
Manage the RFQ process for selected product categories;
negotiate pricing with suppliers.
Oversee the Bi-Monthly Inventory Aging Report and communicate
the reporting to the Sales team.
Administer support to the Customer Service and Sales teams,
which may include providing information related to product
sourcing, product pricing, current inventory levels and product
