Job Description:

BALLYMORE Company, a leading manufacturer of rolling ladders, personnel lifts and material handling equipment, is looking to fill the following position:

PAYROLL SPECIALIST:

The Payroll Specialist position would have experience in performing weekly payroll-related functions including but not limited to verification of hourly individual timecards and preparation of the weekly salary pay data batch.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Performs payroll-related functions including but not limited to processing new hires, termination status changes, address and tax changes, wage garnishments, miscellaneous deductions, and direct deposit entries.
  • Reviews and verifies payroll data in a timely manner and confirms pay codes and notes entered by time and attendance supervisors for hourly timecards.
  • Verifies the salary pay data batch and calculates overtime dollars and makes adjustments to the standard 40 hours if necessary.
  • Responds to routine inquiries concerning payroll deductions, wage garnishments, child support payments, vacation accruals and employment verifications.
  • Oversees maintenance of payroll records and files including weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
  • Responsible for attendance tracking including vacation, and other accrued leave.
  • Prepares manual checks if needed.
  • Maintains hourly personnel files.
  • Assists with related special projects as required.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Director of Finance/management.

Experience and Skills:

  • Associates Degree or equivalent, two to three years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
