Job Description for Trailer Mechanic - Shop

Currently seeking Trailer Mechanics to perform mechanical services on CTL trailers at our shop. Knowledge and familiarity with trailer repair, including welding and carpentry required. Full-time, permanent career opportunity for individuals with a strong work ethic, outstanding punctuality, and a great teamwork attitude.

Experience and Skills:

Experience/Qualifications/Responsibilities for Trailer Mechanic - Shop

  • Previous experience as a Trailer Mechanic required
  • Trailer Mechanic must have knowledge and experience with:
    • Brakes and suspension
    • Hydraulics Lift Gates
    • Swing and Overhead Doors
  • Trailer Mechanic should be skilled in the following:
    • Diagnosis and repair of trailer electrical systems
    • Welding and cutting
    • DOT Inspections/PMs/FHWAs
    • Documenting services and repairs accurately
    • Knowledge of Refrigeration units and related components a plus
  • DOT Physical with Medical Card required
  • Trailer Mechanic should have and maintain a basic set of tools (shop tools provided by company)

Pre-employment Requirements for Trailer Mechanic - Shop

  • Drug testing and background check
  • Provide and maintain a basic set of tools (shop tools provided by company)
