This role is for an experienced human resources professional who
will: (1) under the supervision of MEA’s attorneys, review for
compliance and revise MEA member company handbooks, utilizing MEA
template language; (2) and provide support for the MEA Hotline by
furnishing employer/employee relations advice and information to MEA
members in a manner that is accurate, efficient, provides quality
service, and supports the goals and philosophy of MEA. (3) work as a
contract trainer facilitating MEA training programs
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Utilize the incumbent’s human resources experience, MEA
attorney expertise and MEA’s handbook templates to create and/or
review member handbooks for compliance and revise handbooks as necessary.
Effectively communicate with MEA members regarding their needs
and goals in connection with handbook creation/revision.
Handle member information requests, including telephone calls
and emails in a manner that provides current, accurate and sound
information, timely and high-quality service, and is cost
effective and consistent with the philosophy of MEA.
Utilize MEA attorney expertise, the MEA library of information
and external sources to seek out and find answers to member
questions pertaining to all aspects of the employer/employee relationship.

are encouraged to be actively engaged in the learning process.
Facilitate a training that allows participants to observe,
question and investigate materials covered during the session,
while responding in the moment to meet the needs of participants
with varying backgrounds, learning styles and levels of experience.
Deliver content according to the standards of the program as
specified by MEA.
