Compliance Manager - Consumer Home Goods Manufacturing

and manufactured over 600+ new and innovative products serving the
consumer and consumer’s home with many product lines.
We have an in-house design and product development team linked with a
very dynamic, integrated global supply chain to create and manufacture globally.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Compliance Manager
- Consumer Home Good Mfg. at our mid-sized company
headquartered in Wilmington, DE. This role reports into the Senior
Dir. Of Operations & Integrated Supply Chain. At this time, you
will not have to manage any employees.
This is a newly-created, full time, permanent position. During this
time of Social Distancing, this position will work remotely a few days
per week AND on-site in our Wilmington, DE Office for a few days

We are seeking someone who is an energetic Self-Starter who can work
both independently and within a Team.
Someone who is used to documenting Customer’s manufacturing changes
and is familiar with FDA, USDA, Certified Organic labeling and
applicable Packaging. Someone who is always prepared for Customer Audits.
The ideal candidate will have related experience managing and
coordinating all activities involved in the Manufacturing and
Quality/Compliance Process around Consumer Goods with 3rd Party

About the Job:
The mission of the Compliance Manager is to lead the organization’s
efforts to improve the company’s execution of our Customers’
This position will manage the customer compliance interface with key
customers, communicate changes of requirements, validate potential
compliance charge backs, and work with our company’s team members to
reduce/eliminate the compliance issues.
This individual must be able to create a best-practice process, and
drive change across all functions and organizational levels. This
position is responsible for driving each potential compliance issue to
root cause, resolution, and develop solutions with our company’s team
to prevent reoccurrence.
Position Responsibilities are as follows:
Become familiar with customer compliance programs and execute
compliance requirements for our Company and programs.
Assure all needed supplier and vendor documentation is logged,
tracked and appropriately communicated to our customers as required.
Set up and maintain Our Compliance calendar to track compliance activities
Process and track sample submissions for all production product samples.
Participate in activities for social, quality, environmental, CTPAT,
fire safety and ethics to ensure all audits are scheduled and
coordinated with all parties.
Monitor corrective action follow-ups and appropriate filings of
Notify team of requirement changes published in POL (very important)
Generate required POL information as needed in a timely fashion
Coordinate customer product testing with 3rd party laboratories,
including sample submission, report tracking, notifications and filings.
Maintain Manufacturing folders at all subcontractors to ensure audit
/ inspection documentation on site is up to date
Retrieve and file pertinent HSE information from suppliers associated
with BPG products
Liaise with sales on new product and new customer set up on customer
Input production schedules and inspection requests in our Customer’s POL
Monitor all Customers for changes in requirements regarding
compliance fines and other system changes
Create a best-in-class process for managing customer compliance
requirements and ensuring execution to those requirements
Be our subject matter expert on compliance, technical requirements
& knowledge of testing protocols
Help trouble shoot & mitigate risks that may come up from a
compliance and quality/testing perspective
Maintain close working relationships with key customers’ compliance
organizations and internal leadership within all operations,
organizations, and brands that impact compliance
Collaborate with both Sales and Operations Leadership to define
compliance agreements, ensure that the requirements are achievable,
and communicate requirements to all internal stakeholders.
Train and mentor other team members with the necessary values,
skills, and training to execute the objectives above
Develop reporting processes and rhythms to communicate key metrics
Hold our business partners accountable for objectives and commitments
relating to compliance
Provide on-going learning/training for the team and others supporting
Ensure sound working relationships between the team and
Lead projects as assigned
Operationalize requirements by developing policy and process
specifications, updating manuals and coordinating training with the
appropriate cross-functional partners
Proactively recommend, as part of our company’s ongoing process
improvement, ideas or procedures that solve problems, expand our
capability, improve company performance and eliminate bottle necks.
