Job Description:

Our member, a distributor of lighting fixtures and controls, has a rare opportunity to add to their exceptional staff and will be hiring a Lighting Project Coordinator!

Position Duties:

The position will entail assisting talented Project Managers to professionally fulfill orders for lighting fixtures and lighting controls for new construction and remodeling projects.

The project team’s involvement begins with the submittal package, carries through to purchasing, scheduling, expediting and shipping the orders and continues to post-sale.

The Lighting Project Coordinator will work closely with the Project Manager simultaneously on multiple jobs participating in every aspect mentioned. Coordinators are paired with a Project Manager "mentor" to facilitate a quick learning process.

Experience and Skills:

For the Lighting Project Coordinator role, we are targeting these skills:

  • Strong verbal and communication skills. Must be able to pick up the phone and clearly state professional expectations to manufacturers, manufacturers reps and customers.
  • Strong writing skills and attention to details.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word and the willingness to jump in and learn the ever-evolving product/application technologies.
  • Engineering, Design or Construction background or education would be a plus but not necessarily required.
