Job Description:

Quality Engineer

One of our clients, an electronic product manufacturing company, is currently in search of a Quality Engineer who is energetic, a strong leader, and interested in driving process improvements. The Quality Engineer is responsible for overall product Quality & Reliability Assurance along with some related personnel management.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ability to apply sound engineering principles, process engineering techniques, and LEAN principles to the processes of product Quality & Reliability

  • Responsible for establishing, implementing, and directing all Quality Assurance efforts including acquiring and maintaining the facility ISO 9000 certification, leading all ISO audits, and implementation of audit recommendations

  • Maintain and improve product quality by conducting product testing, reviewing procedures, conducting audits, investigating customer complaints, working with management to develop and improve processes, employee training, etc.

  • Initiate Corrective Actions for procedural product or process deficiencies

  • Guide management and related departments in establishing and maintaining Quality Assurance standards, procedures, and controls

  • Ensure adequate processes are in place to test and assure product quality, reliability, safety, and compliance with regulatory agencies

  • Serve as the key Quality representative during Supplier, Manufacturing Partner and Customer audits

  • Supervisory / personnel management (budgeting, hiring, training, performance management, etc.)

Experience and Skills:


  • Bachelor’s degree required; Advanced degree is preferred

  • Quality Assurance experience within manufacturing environment - Electronic product manufacturing industry

  • Experience with achieving and managing ISO 9001:2015

  • Experience overseeing daily Quality Management Systems (QMS) actions, including customer complaints, supplier actions forms, data collection & reporting, etc.

  • Knowledge of Lean Principles and Six Sigma processes

  • Knowledge of electronic product manufacturing test methods and testing procedures

  • Experience working with ERP systems, SAP experience, preferred

  • Supervisory experience, leading process engineering efforts and small work teams

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills; professional, detail oriented

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills; ability to listen, solve problems, and motivate
