Job Description:

Our client is currently seeking a Full Time Associate Project Manager who wants to be energized everyday by joining their creative team at their sun-filled headquarters in Wilmington, DE; overlooking the beautiful Brandywine River.

The mission of the Associate Project Manager (APM) is to effectively lead and manage the delivery of assigned projects for scope, time, and budget. The APM is expected to undertake several projects simultaneously of low to moderate complexity as well as impromptu assignments on an as needed basis, with minimum supervision.


Principal Responsibilities:

Project Management: Coordinate product development projects, project schedules and process development for new products from concept through completion.

Product Documentation -Create all of the documentation needed to fully develop and commercialize new products and product changes.

Quality Control -To support the creation of the Quality Control attributes for new products that the Project Manager is responsible for launching.

Commercialization-Responsible to support a smooth transition from product development into full commercialization.

Continuous Improvement -Continuously improve technical knowledge and support initiatives that shorten new product and project cycle times


Experience and Skills:

Position Specific Experience, Skills & Competencies

Education:

  • BS/BA degree required or equivalent amount of experience in related field
  • PMP or Project Management Certification Preferred

Professional Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years proven results-oriented work experience,
  • Minimum 1 year of experience managing multiple projects from concept to product launch.
  • Broad based understanding of consumer products manufacturing and overall business processes
  • Demonstrated experience and success in the ability to network, align teams, and function in a matrixed, multi-cultural organization
  • Proven leadership with significant experience in demonstrating effective influence of senior management
  • Experience leading strategic processes
  • Proficient with standard Project Management tools (MS Project, Excel, Visio) and templates. Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Business and Financial Acumen
  • Experience managing consumer goods type projects with both domestic and overseas suppliers
  • Experience working in a fast paced professional entrepreneurial environment.
