Country Manager - Technical / Industrial Sales
We have an exciting opportunity available for a U.S. Director of
Sales. This is a "technical" National Sales Management
role and involves the need to have a good understanding of our
product line and how the customer will use the product for their
needs across various industries. This is a collaborative role
involving our customers, dealers and our parent company. There is
both domestic and international travel required.
This is a full time, permanent, position within the North America
Sales Organization of a German Machine Building Manufacturer, being
one of the worldwide market leaders in the furnace and heat
treatment equipment industry.
Besides leading a dedicated team of technical sales and support
staff, and providing for excellent customer service and support, the
position will concentrate on developing and expanding the customer
base in close cooperation with the headquarters´ sales team and
You’ll support existing and potential Key account customers - from
start-ups, research facilities, production companies to
You’ll collaborate closely with our Headquarters’ Sales and
Engineering Teams in Germany to transform inquiries into quotes -
for standard and customized furnaces and heat treatment plants.
Lead the North America Sales Team by developing and implementing
sales plans to increase the company’s profit and motivating
employees to hit these sales goals.
Provide hands-on training, recruiting and assistance as needed to
build a strong sales team.
Conduct research on the competition and supply market intelligence
Role Overview AND Responsibilities:
* Assist N.A. Sales staff to expand business with current customers
and develop new customers within target markets.
* Direct and guide staff to identify new dealers for Laboratory and
* Identify new Manufacturer’s Representatives as needed.
* Identify new markets for our products.
* Promote sale of company furnaces to key accounts. Quote,
follow-up and negotiate deals for various projects.
* Identify and attend, or exhibit at, relevant trade shows and
exhibitions across North America to promote products or to learn
about industry developments.
* Work closely with Product and Project Managers at company
headquarters in Germany.
* Keep informed on industry news and trends, products, services,
competitors, relevant information about existing and/or emerging
technologies and product-line developments.
* Resolve customer issues.
* Document activities, generate reports and keep records of

This position will provide excellent customer consultation,
communication, service and support to existing and potential key
account customers - from start-ups, research facilities, production
companies to multinational corporations.

We are a small Sales Office located in the New Castle, DE area. We
are part of the International Sales Network and a wholly owned
subsidiary of our German Parent Company, supporting the US and
Canadian clientele for our global manufacturing business. Our parent
company is a family-owned entity who values relationships.
Our Parent Company (Manufacturer) is in Germany. We are responsible
for the sales and service of products in North America. Our Office
works very closely with our German Headquarters.

At the start of your employment, you will receive intensive product

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity with hands-on training provided.
This position is based in our New Castle, Delaware office.
Local candidates preferred; relocation assistance is not available.
Must be eligible to work in the United States, sponsorship not provided.
Once you are selected to interview with our company, you’ll
interview via Zoom with our combined Management Teams from both
Delaware and Germany. A subsequent interview will entail our flying
you to our German headquarters for a few days.
We ask that you are vaccinated for Covid-19.
We offer a very congenial, spacious, Office Setting and we have
only 3-5 employees in the office at any given time.
Our benefits include participation in the Group Health and Dental
Insurance Programs (effective upon start). We
currently pay a large percentage of your monthly premium; the
remaining percentage will be deducted from your salary. The plan is
subject to change on the April 1st anniversary date every year.
After 90 days of service, you will be eligible for
other company paid insurances for: Life and AD&D, STD and LTD
You will be eligible for three (3) weeks of vacation (15 days) per
year, in addition to six (6) PTO days per year and we offer a 401K
plan with company matching.
Company paid Holidays are: New Year’s Day, President’s Day,
Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day,
Thanksgiving Thursday and Friday, Christmas Day and day before or
after, depending on calendar and One (1+) floating Holiday of your choice.
