Human Resources Manager
Location: 1501 Industrial Blvd, Mainland, PA 19451
Basic Job Functions:
The Human Resources Manager is directly responsible for the
overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the human
resource function for a specific HR geographic territory. This
position carries out responsibilities in the following functional
areas: Recruiting, Employer-Employee Relations, Compensation and
Benefits, Labor Law Compliance, Training and Development, and
Maintaining a Safe Work Environment. This position works closely
with Senior HR management, other HR personnel and local plant management.
Essential Functions of the Job:
Develops and administers various human resources plan and
procedures for all company personnel.
Maintain good and open lines of communication with employees,
customers and vendors.
Maintain good employee relations by being accessible to
current employees. Offer assistance, guidance and coaching as needed.
Responsible for all phases of onboarding, orientation,
performance management, outplacement counseling and terminations.
Conduct interventions and fact-finding investigations and
resolve conflicts as they arise.
Knowledge of government regulations and compliance needs at a
federal, state and local level. Maintain compliance with all
regulations concerning employment.
Research and administrate appropriate resources relating to
specific legislation, e.g. FMLA, ADA, DOL, etc. as necessary.
Develops and maintains Affirmative Action Program; files EEO-1
annually; maintains other records, reports and logs to conform to
Receive and address all Unemployment Compensation issues,
correspondence and notices. Attend hearings as necessary.
Prepare monthly report for Director of HR on human capital
spending and HR metrics.
Prepare changes for payroll and research payroll issues as necessary.
Assist Talent Acquisition Manager & Specialist in
recruiting for open positions.
Meet with management team on a monthly basis to discuss
Work with Managers and Supervisors to ensure effective
training and development of all employees.
Oversight for annual Performance Review process.
Lead and work closely with supervisors and employees in the
Performance Improvement Process.
Administers various human resource plans and procedures for
all company personnel; assists in the development and
implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and
maintains employee handbook and policies and procedures manual.
Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of
department in relation to established goals.
Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect
continual improvements in efficiency of the department and
Maintains accurate and up-to-date HRIS records and compiles
reports from the database.
Assist with the implementation of safety program and related issues.
Work closely with Benefits Specialist to assist in enrolling
employees and during Open Enrollment period.
Oversee Employee Recognition Program and Fun, Fun, Fun
Committee. Plan and set up other employee activities and special
events as required.
Serve on Employee Committees as required. Such as Continuous
Improvement, Safety Committee, 401K Committee, Employee
Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends
other meetings and seminars.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date job descriptions for all
Maintains company organization charts and the employee directory.
Create and maintain HR forms and employee files.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This
position may have direct reports. Serves as a coach and mentor for
other positions in the company.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a
full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through
Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Occasional early morning, evening and
weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel: Local travel to various worksites as
required. Occasional travel to Lakewood, NJ.
