Retirement Community (CCRC) located in the heart of Lansdale.
We are known for providing the highest quality healthcare
services throughout Montgomery County and the surrounding area.
We are growing and adding to our Team. We are seeking a
full-time Personal Care Aide. This is a full-time opportunity. You
would work a 12-hour shift, two (2) days per week and a 12-hour
shift every other weekend on both Saturday and Sunday of that weekend.
Position Purpose:
To perform non-professional direct resident care duties under
the supervision of the Personal Care Coordinator; and to assist in
maintaining a positive physical, social, and psychological
environment for residents in the Personal Care Facility. To perform
these duties
in accordance with applicable current regulations and standards
governing personal care facilities; and to perform these
duties in accordance with the mission of Elm Terrace Gardens to
promote the health and well-being of individual residents based
on their functional abilities and potential.
Full Time Work Schedule consists of working:
Two days per week from 7a-7p OR 7p-7a AND then a 12-hr. shift
every other weekend at either 7a-7p OR 7p-7a on both days of that
weekend (Sat & Sun).
Resident Care Functions - Duties
1. Assist residents with personal hygiene, including bathing,
dressing, and care of clothes, hair grooming and shampooing, oral
care, shaving and nail care.
2. Assist residents with tasks of daily living as directed by
the Personal Care Coordinator, making and keeping appointments,
arrange shopping, use of the telephone, correspondence, personal
laundry, social and leisure activities, securing health care,
ambulation, use of prosthetic devices,
3. Provide resident care functions as directed by the Personal
Care Coordinator, including measuring and recording of temperature,
pulse, blood pressure, respiration and bowel/bladder regiments.
4. Weighing and measuring residents.
5. Performing restorative procedures and assisting with
rehabilitative procedures.
6. Assist dietary staff in the resident dining room with meal service.
7. Identify food arrangement and components of different types
of diets.
8. Assist residents in after-meal care as necessary.
9. Observe, report, and document changes in resident conditions
to the Personal Care Coordinator, including changes in levels of
function, appetite, alertness, and behavior, and skin breakdowns.
Ensure that this information is recorded appropriately in PCC.
