Maintenance Technician

Elm Terrace Gardens

Lansdale PA

Full Time / Permanent Opportunity

Monday-Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm & one weekend per month

 

 

ABOUT US:

Elm Terrace Gardens is a nonprofit, 5-star Continuing Care Retirement Community located in the heart of Lansdale.

We are known for providing the highest quality healthcare services throughout Montgomery County and the surrounding area.

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team! 

We pride ourselves on being a team who delivers cleanliness to our residents.

 

The hours are:

7:30am-4:00pm  Monday-Friday -  And you must be able to work one (1) weekend every 4 weeks.

 

 

The purpose of the Maintenance Technician is to maintain the grounds, facility, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, to ensure that a successful maintenance program is maintained at all times.

The person holding this position is delegated the responsibility for carrying out the assigned duties under the guidance of the Director of Maintenance and in accordance with federal and state regulations and established company policies and procedures.

 

Schedule is Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm, must be able to be on rotation for 1 weekend a month.

Must have own hand tools and toolbox for the job.

 

 

Essential Job Functions - Duties:


1. Assist the Director of Maintenance in maintaining the facility in good repair, perform and assist in routine plumbing, plaster, painting, lighting, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical maintenance and repairs of the facility, equipment, and HVAC systems.


2. Perform duties as directed or required in compliance with established Universal Precautions, fire, safety, infection control, isolation, and sanitation procedures.


3. Promptly report accidents, incidents, unsafe, and hazardous conditions, and defective equipment to the Director of Maintenance.


4. Ensure that work areas are clean, free of hazardous conditions, and that all tools and supplies are properly stored to ensure compliance with established regulations and procedures.


5. Snow Removal, Salting, plowing in inclement weather.


6. Present positive endorsement of Elm Terrace Gardens, its mission, programs, policies, procedures, and administration to Elm Terrace Gardens residents, staff, visitors, and other constituencies at all times.

 

Experience and Skills:

Qualifications:


1. Must be a least 18 years of age

2. Completion of high school education or otherwise show ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions.

3. Must speak and understand English.

4. Must possess an agreeable and positive attitude toward the residents.

5. Must have Building Maintenance Trade School training or two years’ experience in building maintenance.

6. HVAC Certification Type 1 and 2 is a preferred not required

7. Must be able to complete assigned tasks unsupervised.
