Pennsylvania Steel has been in business since 1972 and has expanded to 11 locations in 2017, becoming one of the largest Steel Service Centers in the eastern United States.

The Naugatuck, CT branch is looking for a 3rd shift Saw Operator.

Job description:

• Operating automatic cold saw and band saw
• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Ability to work with quality inspection tools including micrometers and calipers and perform basic dimensional tolerances.
• Monitor machine operation for continued accuracy throughout cutting processes
• Prioritize workload to meet customer requirements and company performance goals

Experience and Skills:

Qualifications:

• Ability to read micrometers and tape measures
• Forklift exp.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Detail oriented and able to multi-task
• Familiar with basic computer systems
