Senior Inventory Specialist

Permanent, Hybrid Role

Norristown, PA

 

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Inventory Specialist to join our team.

This role will directly support our Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) efforts, helping to optimize inventory decisions across our domestic warehouse network.

You will collaborate closely with the sales team to gather customer forecasts and translate them into actionable inventory strategies using advanced Excel models and other ERP tools. This role reports to the Supply Chain Manager.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

* Continuously improve and maintain ERP models to guide purchasing and inventory decisions through S&OP process.

* Analyze inventory levels and customer demand to determine optimal stock quantities per warehouse for our US, Canada, and other locations.

* Execute Warehouse transfers between our warehouses to leverage freight costs and customer requirements.

* Perform inventory allocations to sales orders and manage accordingly during supply constraints, ensuring that key customers are supported.

* Review current and future contracted volumes to ensure data is up to date, accurate, and can be supported through inbound inventory level.

* Maintain master data management in the Product Master by managing change controls, new product introduction, product deactivation, and general updates to our full product portfolio.

* Collaborate cross-functionally, both internally to Operations team as well as the Commercial group, to achieve a high target On Time In Full (OTIF) metric.

* Leverage system data to create, develop, and run key metrics and analytics to drive growth in the business.

 

 

 

Experience and Skills:

* Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

* 3-7 years of experience in supply chain, demand planning, or inventory management within a manufacturing entity.

* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

* An understanding of and natural curiosity about utilization of Artificial Intelligence in both tactical execution and strategic analyses.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Experience with ERP systems and data visualization tools, Power Bi and Dynamics 365 are preferred

* Proven work experience in managing work relationships with business partners across diverse international and domestic cultures.

* Proven work or life experiences that demonstrate the ability to work well as a member of a team.

* The ability to influence and align others even when not in a position of authority.

* Advanced interpersonal skills displaying a high level of self-awareness and emotional intelligence.
