Job Description:

Territory Account Manager - (Assigned Territory)

Boston, MA

The ideal candidate will have proven sales experience, with knowledge of the latest industry trends and techniques. In addition to being an excellent communicator (written and verbal), you will also demonstrate strong leadership and interpersonal skills as you grow your territory.

Responsibilities of the Territory Account Manager:

  • Achieve annual product sales goals set for the territory
  • Develop strategies designed to increase sales of products in assigned territory
  • Drive sales to achieve the growth and profitability targets of the company.
  • Maintain an up-to-date sales funnel and forecast
  • Effectively communicate and forecast orders and risks to management
  • Identify selling opportunities across product lines, including lead generation
  • Identify customer needs and evaluate a solution
  • Identify customer gaps and equate to selling opportunities across product lines
  • Conduct performance evaluations and business reviews with customers
  • Develop sales channels and maximize market reach, consistent with the overall sales and marketing strategy.
  • Identify and attend relevant industry conferences

Location: Assigned Territory

Experience and Skills:

Work Experience Requirements

Required:

  • Minimum 3-5 years relevant sales experience or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to travel 50-75% including overnight travel.
  • Experience with CRM systems typically used by a sales team
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and make decisions in a rapidly changing fast-paced company
  • Demonstrated ability to balance customer experience with business objectives

Preferred:

  • Relevant industry experience
  • Work experience in both small and medium/large sized companies

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a life science is preferred.
